The same way it's possible all the crappy bands/musicians who were/are influenced by Dylan, Beatles, Zeppelin, Sabbath, etc....

Well they are bands with a lot in common with punk rock. They play slower than typical punk bands with more than just a few chords per song, ie they have a bit of an alternaticve rock edge to basically punk tunes. Which is a similar style to fugazi, husker du etc.
Their lyrics are based on teenage angst and the emotions that occur during that time of ones life, thus the name EMO (EMOtional)
I am in no way a big fan of EMO but I am open minded enough not to write off an entire genre of music based on my limited exposure to it. Obviously I haven't heard anything EMO that comes close to fugazi or Husker du, but I have heard quite a bit of stuff that I think is okay.

Actually, what you implied was guys were not into making-out....but obviously you meant make-up and not make-out. Because I realize things have changed since I was anywhere near 16, but no way in hell would males (let alone the 16-year-old variety) not be interested in making-out.

Enough with the Emo....now to more important things. How about the question I asked you in the other thread about DA BLUES?

I've never felt compelled to do this before, but I'm sending my yaks.
And I'm going to listen to some Sleepy John Estes.
