lets talk about ev.panic (track 2). some nice elevator elements with some rad progressions. reminds me a bit of the first time i heard Prefuse. really it's not in the same vain as Herron's work. there's really nothing quite like it.

it has a definite direction and formula.

ev.panic is a great track. i really enjoy the video he did for it as well. ev.panic was one of the four tracks that were on the first demo that he sent me. as soon as i played it, i was emailing him saying "more please". i think my favorite at the moment is petit gilet track 11. there will defiantly be another ra album on coredump next year. also thinking about doing a 12" sampler, maybe a few track from "raoul loves you" and then a few from the new one. i should have test pressing of the snares 12" earlier next week. if they are ok pre orders will start shortly after.

autpt where do you live at cleveland?

going back to turntables, i think i am reconsidering my choice. what are your thoughts on the Numarks? the reason i might choose the Numark is that it is quite a bit more affordable for me right now. i understand that the Technics players are notorious, but i think i'd rather pay a bit less for a different name, unless this particular model doesn't achieve the proper attributes that the Technics performs.

this model is the Numark TT1650, and is available for under $200. it is direct drive and since it is my first table, i think it would be a proper choice. but perhaps i should pay the extra buck to get more out of my buck.

If you are going for affordability you might as well just get a belt-driven record player.

Then sure, go for the Numark! The only negatives - it's not the best for DJing, and the resale value will suck.

What kind of stereo will you be using it with?
