My immediate reaction would be to say Germany, but that's probably 'cause I listened to some German electronic music lately...

if they started in the Netherlands, will you please name some artists? And I never said it "started" there, I just said their style opened up many of the minds of young producers.

the fact that they live in a Island make them want to be notorious in all aspects...(well it is the case of australia...but they made it in the crocodile-hunting industry )

plus I believe the cold and the fog mess-up the british and affect their creativity

So I would say England

Just remember Depeche mode, Massive Attack, Portishead among others

depeche mode were so gay to start with but then went seriously doomy (maybe it was the fog but i doubt they got much of that in basildon - maybe smog though)!

is this one of those "i'll vote for my own country" threads? can't believe someone considers turkey to be more important than the UK or US!! i vote the UK but not because i live there...it's easily the most productive country for all areas of electronic music together with having the best history too. i go one step further and say music is about the only thing the UK still dominates the world with. the UK is the most musical country in the world.
