Question

Hey Orpheus, did you get "Ancestry in Progress" after all? I've always fancied one of their albums & was wondering which one to get.

No, I'd prefer hearing some songs from it before buying it...

I don't know Zap Mama very well, but I guess that new cd sounds very promising indeed. I should check it out. I went to one of their concerts a couple of years ago, it was pretty good.

I do have their latest one Ancestry in Progress now and I borrowed one of their first, Adventures in Afropea 1 from the library...
The last one is almost completely a capella and really sounding ethnic, whereas the new one is more mixed with hiphop... The focus is still very much on the vocals though... It's got guest appearances of Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, Common, ?uestlove (The Roots), human beatbox Scratch, Bahamadia and Lady Alma... oh and their children as well...
I guess this one is a bit easier accessible, but I could recommend both really...

Nice one ayco, I'll check them out when they play in London on November 21st. Orpheus, thanx for info on the album, I'll have to invest in their most recent work, sounds good!
