The Planets Suite - Earth?

I've been searching around, trying to see if anyone composed pieces for the planets that Gustav Holst did not include in his suite, The Planets.

So, I found out that someone named Colin Matthews did indeed compose a piece for Pluto. And, as I was searching the file sharing application, Acquisition, I found that some had composed a piece for Earth as well. However, the track's info give Gustav Holst the credit for the work. But I do not believe this to be true, as he said that he did not compose a piece for Earth because 'it could not be seen in its own sky'.

So, my question to you people is; Who composed, conducted, and performed Earth?

Thank you.

He declined, probably because he was somewhat tired of the amount of attention that The Planets received compared with his other compositions, which he thought more worthy. 70 years later, Manchester's Halle Orchestra commissioned Colin Matthews, a leading expert on Holst's work, to write the final 'Pluto' piece. This received its debut in May 2000. Matthews' work is very similar in style to Holst's and you will hear echoes of many of the other planets in this six-minute piece. But this new ending can only be an interesting oddity and the 'real' Planets will forever end with that glorious fade-out at the end of 'Neptune'.

I heard that masterpiece, live wiht the OSM (MSO), and believe me it cannot end with
another planet than Neptune.

It ends with a composed fade out, that let you suspended into the space. Magic

Indeed, Neptune is the true ending. However, if you haven't noticed, the planets are not in order of allignment in the solar system. Rather, they tell a story. I'm sure Matthews' Pluto fits in there in the middle somewhere.

However, that is not my question. I am wondering who composed, conducted, and performed Earth. If you need me to send you the file, I will do so.

Cool Ryan Shore

I believe the composer you're referring to is Ryan Shore. He offered three additional movements to Holst's suit, including The Sun, Earth, and Pluto (I have been unable to obtain The Sun or Pluto, but I am sure this is unrelated to Matthews' version.) These movements can be found on a dvd titled "Mars: The Red Planet," produced by Ralph LaBarge.

Hmm... Ryan Shore, eh? I've got one (which I downloaded from a file-sharing program) that was performed by the Hallé Orchestra, and most of the downloads were from them. If you'd like the file, I'd gladly email it to you.

I've also got Earth, the Home of Man by the London Symphany Orchestra, which I am not sure is the true performers.
