A couple of my friends and I intend to go down and check out Lollapalooza in 2006. We've got no idea what the tickets will cost, but with rumours of a Pumpkins reunion, all I'll say is that we're ordering tickets and booking board as soon as we can. I'm guessing that the tickets will be about 200$, board between 40-60$ a night, transport about 100$ there and back. Less if we're willing to overnight on the bus.

Any objections?

Well, with the rising gas prices, transportation might end up being more than 100

The Zawinul Syndicate - Whoa. I could write an essay attempting to describe this concert, but for now I'll just stick with, "MINDBLOWING." First of all, this was completely different from what I thought it'd be. I was expecting it to be fusion, like what Zawinul played with Miles Davis way back in the sixties. That, or more straightforward fusion, like what he did with Weather Report. Little did I know that the Zawinul Syndicate was hardly fusion at all, but that in the last twenty years SeƱor Zawinul had created an ABSOLUTELY FUCKIN' CRAZY world music band. These guys were insane. Second, this concert was basically my introduction to (what I believe to be) world music, and what an introduction it was. I'm now off to the world music forum to search for some world music cds that I can check out. All in all, 100/10, one of the best I've ever been to.
