Im very into exprimental music. Im into all the ol' school industrial music like Skinny Puppy, tackhead, Ministry, Throbbing Gristle, Pig, Meat Beat Manifesto (idk if its industrial but i like it). I also a Aphex Twin CD (26 mixes for cash) and I like it a lot. I've heard a little sample of Autechre Tri Reptae (sp?) and from what i heard I like it. Im pretty young and just trying to expand my interests so im open to anything.

I'm glad to finally meet someone that is this way. I'm young myself, but it's nice to see others are open minded to thing such as this. Check out the avant-garde/experimental forum as well, I'm sure Seba, Geoff, Roivas, Satchmo, darkness fish, dr. squid and others can help recommend some great titles or beginnings.

I tend to agree that Autechre may not be the best entry point for most people...you may want to check out something a bit more immediately structured like TRS-80, Omni Trio, Metamatics, or maybe something by Orbital, etc...hell, I'd recommend Plaid over Autechre in this instance...

i don't know if i'd ever have gotten into idm without hearing Autechre first. i needed something to blow me away. but maybe that's just me.
