Swing Out Sister
Anybody else dig 'em? They had a hit awhile back called "Break Out"..the lead singer sounds alot like Lani Hall of Brazil '66. They seem to have a retro, mid-sixties sound, reviving the vibe of guys like Jimmy Webb & Burt Baccarach. I don't think they really caught on, but I picked up one CD entitled "Kaleidoscope" that's pretty cool.

I remember that track, and it still gets played on local radio over here, but I couldn't name anything else they did so I would have assumed they sank without trace. But I just checked AMG and it says they are still working and releasing albums. Got a big following in Japan apparently. As far as that kind of thing goes I prefer Everything But The Girl.
