firstly just wanna say mcfly are not a cover band, they just happen to be like every other manufactured band, (and please dont say they aren't coz i know exactly how they were put together, through auditions of many boys thinking they had what it takes to make it big) who make up songs by ripping off many other songs to then get something original. however their album is actually quite good.

no a cover band is a band like me first and the gimme gimmes who cover whole songs. or boyzone and take that, who just covered beegees songs etc. what i meant for the mcfly ripping off other songs was sampling other songs. therefore that is not covering.

Then why when you go to their media page, songs or samples of songs that are available are:
"Rock and Roll all Night" - AUDIO
"I love Rock and Roll" - AUDIO
"Summer of 69" - AUDIO

yeh on their site maybe but on their album its all new stuff - therefore they are not a cover band. plus so wot if they covered like 3 songs, im sure a band u really love has done more covers than mcfly... i can think of so many more bands that have done covers - even more than mcfly- eg nfg, the offspring, thrice, lagwagon, less than jake to name a few.

So, onto the thread title - well you see, Ms. Kim, I'm the official RM Busted/Hanson hater, and these kind of threads annoy me. It's the kids like you who have been so ... violated by big money making corporations, with all the advertising and the airtime... I'm not angry with you.

secondly can i not like pink and be older than 13-16??? if u had read my profile u would have seen other wise.also the sig of older than u better than u was just coz i wanted to come across as being as obnoxious as possible to all the small 13 yr olds (and obviously 19 going on 20 yr olds) who act as if they know everything bout music.

im not gona regret posting what i said in 6 years coz to be honest i dont actually care, and also i will have forgotten about ever doing this probably in a few weeks.infact i had forgotten all about this until my friend mentioned it about 10 minutes ago. for goodness sake its a music forum where as u wrote before 13-16 yr olds post messages about whether they prefer one of two bands which are exactly the same. i came on here to promote a friends band

but people seem more absorbed in the fact that i said that mcfly weren't a cover band, and by the fact that i named other bands that happened to also cover songs. actually, thinking about it and looking over what i said, y would i regret that?
also dont go on at me bout advertising and stuff like that coz even if i cant write down what i mean, i have an extremely good knowledge about how the media works, especially the music industry so u cant say im one of the kids that have been sucked into the big marketing ploy of money making corporations. again if this sounds like im having ago or anything like that i apologise as im not, but sometimes it comes out that way.

Come on one of you reply this is very entertaining. Kim what age are you really? bluey why are you so patronising?There is a band called 8 ball from ireland too.however im not trying to promote them. i couldnt care less if you listen to them or not.
