Who is Poogie Bell's father?

Poogie has played with David Bowie, Erykah Badu...etc

His father is a jazz pianist and music professor.

I'm having trouble finding info on this guy.

Okay, Poogie's name is Charles "Poogie" Bell, Jr. Obviously, his dad's name is Charles Bell, Sr.

Can someone please tell me who he's played with? Websites? Anything? My girlfriend is writing a review for a recent Poogie Bell show in our town for one of the local magazines...

Thanks!

(The picture in Pulp magazine below was taken over 40 years ago for a Courier review of Charles Bell's jazz concert at the Carnegie Lecture Hall. Alice Pittrell, who was then Bell's wife, posed with her husband and children.

Poochie [sic], the little boy in the photo, became a professional drummer who has played with Marcus Miller and has endorsement deals with Sony and Yamaha.)

I didn't notice this thread until now. It's most likely too late but the only Charles Bell piano player I know of comes from Pittsburg. You might want to try looking under the name of his group, which was the The Contemporary Jazz Quartet. The other members of the quartet were Bill Smith on guitar, Allen Blairman on bass, and Frank Traficante on drums. There first release was on Columbia, which was also called the The Contemporary Jazz Quartet, in 1961 I believe. I think he only released 2 or 3 more recordings after that.
