Could someone please give advice on the best way to clean a vinyl record that is having difficulty playing due to an accumulation of dust and dirt over the years. I bought it second hand and would quite like to hear it properly. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thankyou.

Well what I find works very well is a Record-Sweep purifier...Which is a small cylinder piece a soft ouside. What I do is use a Cd cleaning solution I buy at Radioshack and spray it on and use the Record-Sweep. Works grand
