BLADERUNNER! Though I can't find the exact track I'm looking for - I don't think it's 'Bladerunner blues' - I'll have to watch it again and then look for the track.

I think Virgin SUicide is a bit overrated. I like it but something is missing and I don't know what it is. however, you may want to check out Peter Jackson's old movie Heaven's Creature. It has the dreamy effects similar to Virgin Suicide but the story and the ending are more satisfying to me.

anyway, which track are you looking for from Bladerunner's soundtrack? I got both soundtracks on CD, one from Vangelis and one from that orchestra. let me know and I will look it up for you.

have you read the original story of bladerunner? it has many more things going than the movie, it is called "do androids dream of electric sheeps?"

soundtracks I like:

Romeo Is Bleeding(the most aggressive and depressing jazz I have heard)
Blade Runner
Doom Generations(it has meat beat manifesto, jesus and mary chain, cocteau twins, and other bands)
Double Life of Veronica(nice and depressing classical music)
Cinema Paradise(again, nice and depressing classical music)

I have Blade Runner on dvd, I can go home and check for you. but you will have to wait until next monday to get my answer.

hope you don't mind.

anything by Philip K. Dick is worth reading. he is a great sci-fi writer.

Blade Runner! Blade Runner!! Just watched it, and it was AWESOME!!! Evilmatik, I am going to read DADoES ... but there's been a bad rap about the sequels by Jeter. Are they really that cruddy? Thanks.

Also, I am borrowing the movie on video cassette, DVD, borrowing the books, the soundtrack, and the PC game! Woohoo! I'm going into a complete cyberpunk overhaul here!

I hear there are many discrepancies between the book and the movie. They say .. heck, I'm going to start a thread about this. Because BR deserves a thread!

"make sure you get the deluxe directors cut dvd if you can rent it "
Yeah, I saw a bit of the OV, and the VO and gratuitous "happy" ending looked terrible. Only director's cut for me!

yes, the book has so much ideas and subplots which is not in the movie at all. if they do want to include everything from the book in the movie, they would have to make a mini-series on that.

in the us, all you can find is the director's cut. I haven't seen the original theatrical release for a long long time.

I didn't know they have a PC game for Blade runner. how is it?
