I caught the twee folksters live when I was over in Toronto last year and they were fantastic. They got people up on stage dancing with them, and also allowed a girl in the crowd to go up and sing her own song whilst they jammed on it in the background.

anyone got the new ep compilation Push the Barman to Open Old Wounds, I think it's great! well not all songs are top notch, but some are really wonderful! and well I only owned the Jonathan David and I'm Waking Up to Us ep's, which do have the best songs though...
great cd for anyone who likes naïve sixties sounding indiepop...

Probably the best purchase I've made this year. Push the Barman to Open..... is a great treat. Belle and Sebastian are without a doubt one of the most underatted bands in music today. I'm so glad they released this album, as it contains some of their best recorded music over the years.

Agreed. I hadn't owned any of their eps, so this was all new to me.
Belle and Sebastian are probably one of the best groups (top 5) to come out in the last 10 years.

I can't wait until they make their way back to Toronto, as I have never seen them live.

I think they've played there before, so I'm sure they'll be coming back! I think they're working on their next album now, so maybe in the tour for that album they'll come your way...
They're already doing some shows in Europe... at least two in Scotland, one of which will be used to play If You're Feeling Sinister, many fans' (and probably mine too) favourite B&S record... there's one in Spain too, that I know of...
