the Starlight Mints

I have only just found out about this group, in fact Panbient suggested them to me.
I know 3 of their songs ("Brass Digger", "Pages" & "San Diego") and love them, and I am planning on buying their album "Built On Squares".
Are there any other fans of these guys out there?

Well I'm not sure who they're really like... Panbient told me "you will like them if you like the Kinks"... perhaps the vocals are slightly similar but it's not the same type of music all the same.

There's horns, slide guitars and unusual sort of music behind their vocals, but I think it's absolutely fantastic how they put their songs together.

Check out some of their music here.

I love those three songs, hey! I want to hear more of them, too. Glad you enjoyed it, anyway, Stardust.

I think panbient suggested the Starlight Mints to me too, awhile back. I've since heard a good deal of their music and I like it. I can definately hear a bit of a Kinks influence in their work. Overall, good stuff.

Dude, The Mints. Big fan for sure. Built On Squares was tastacular, but their debut album rocks even harder I think. They go Kinks in the second one but the sound is more Pixies here, standout tunes are "Submarine #3", "Valerie Flames", "Margarita", "Sugar Blaster". Real groovy band, cool to see more people digging them.
