Space Oddity (The Album)
I was just wondering what everyone throught of Bowie's 1969 recording "Man of Words/Man of Music" later expanded and renamed Space Oddity. I've been getting into this classic again after a long time and you can see where he was going with some of his material, but he still clung onto the singer/songwriter aspects of his music. Some of my favorite tracks are "Memory Of A Free Festival", "Janine" and "Cygnet Committee".

This one never really clicked with me in a major way (bar the title track), though it was a big improvement on his earlier work. The next one "The Man Who Sold The World" to me is his much underrated masterpiece IMHO, a favourite Bowie album of mine, but hey I like em all up to and including Scary Monsters
