listened to Franz Ferdinand and it's indeed a nice cd, really enjoyable, fun, etc
but the strokes songs are still better, I think... deeper, more melancholic too... Casablancas writes more about trouble with girls, whereas FF is more about absurd stuff and so...

my 2 pence.

I thought they were German. Okay, whatever, they rock. Their music videos can get tiring, but each song seems better then the last, to me.

deeper? well, isuppose if girl trouble is your opinion of deep than maybe- but still no. theres nothing "deep" about The Strokes, thus far at least. if there is they certainly havnt shown it.

I was listening to a Strokes album with my friend today actually, and I find them inferior to Franz Ferdinand.

Mmm what I meant is that their lyrics are "sadder" than those of FF... But indeed yeah, they are not incredibly deep... Though that's not always necessary in rock music...

its never necessary [in juste about any music, ithink]. both bands are great without getting "deep".
