I wanted to believe it was a rumour. He was found dead in his apartment, the 7th of June, supposedly from heart failure. I remember when I purchased Bathory - ''Under The sign of the black mark'' in back in '87. I thought the album cover was neat, so I purchased it blindly, not knowing what to expect. I was very impressed with it ,to say the least. I then collected all the other Bathory albums. I know most believe Venom started Black Metal. They actually only thought of the title. Quorthon was really the mastermind of it. If it wasn't for him, there wouldn't have been any pure Black or Viking Metal.

I heard about this eariler today on another message board. I still have not seen any offical comfirmation though...
