i saw our lady peace back in 98... they stand as the 2nd worse live band i've ever seen (including local amateur bands)... they were like cardboard cutouts from their videos... when i see a live show i want there to be a LIVE element to the show... they sounded like a really loud version of their albums
and i think the main reason for the avril bashing is the way she became associated with the punk label... even if she's gone back and tried to fix it there's no denying that it was said during her initial rise to fame... had she just stuck to being another pop star she'd probably be getting a lot more respect than her peers...
kind of ironic how punks don't want her to be considered punk... she doesn't want to be considered punk anymore... yet when her name gets brought up most of the comments are from punks trying to remove her from their genre but keep dragging her name back into it...
