after sifting through all the recordings over the past month, ive finally come up with an Essential Smiths compilation that juste fits onto one cd:
01 Reel Around The Fountain [from The Smiths]
02 Hand In Glove [from The Smiths]
03 This Charming Man [from The Smiths]
04 Girlfriend In A Coma [from Strangeways, Here We Come]
05 The Boy With The Thorn In His Side [from The Queen Is Dead]
06 William, It Was Really Nothing [from Hatful Of Hollow]
07 Panic [from [The World Won't Listen/Louder Than Bombs]
08 That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore [from Meat Is Murder]
09 Shoplifters Of The World Unite [from The World Won't Listen/Louder Than Bombs]
10 Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want [from Hatful Of Hollow]
11 The Queen Is Dead [from The Queen Is Dead]
12 The Headmaster Ritual [from Meat Is Murder]
13 Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before [from Strangeways, Here We Come]
14 Shakespeare's Sister [from The World Won't Listen/Louder Than Bombs]
15 Bigmouth Strikes Again [from The Queen Is Dead]
16 How Soon Is Now? [from Hatful Of Hollow]
17 Meat Is Murder [from Meat Is Murder]
18 Paint A Vulgar Picture [from Strangeways, Here We Come]
19 Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me [from Strangeways, Here We Come]
20 There Is A Light That Never Goes Out [from The Queen Is Dead]
most difficult cuts:
Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now [from Hatful Of Hollow]
Nowhere Fast [from Meat Is Murder]
I Know It's Over [from The Queen Is Dead]
Rubber Ring [from The World Won't Listen/Louder Than Bombs]
Asleep [from The World Won't Listen/Louder Than Bombs]
I Started Something I Couldn't Finish [from Strangeways, Here We Come]
ioriginally had "I Know It's Over" in place of "Paint A Vulgar Picture" at track 18, but it seemed a little too heavy having it sandwiched between "How Soon Is Now?" and "Meat Is Murder" on one side and "Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me" on the other. also, it evens out the contingent from The Queen Is Dead and Strangeways, Here We Come at four tracks apiece, while the other albums and compilations come in juste one back at three apiece.

That just looks like their three last albums chopped into two (with only Ugly Truth as an exception).
But since they already have "A-Sides," what they really need is a "B-Sides" collection...so howabout :
Birth Ritual
Girl U Want
Fell on Black Days (demo)
Bleed Together
Kyle Petty, Son of Richard
Stray Cat Blues
Seasons
Show Me
She Likes Surprises
Exit Stonehenge
Into the Void
HIV Baby
She's a Politician
Touch Me
Blind Dogs
Come Togther
Like Suicide (acoustic)
Special thanks to Kazaa Lite ++ for letting me hear these songs and me for making a CD-R very similar to this one right here.
