The Happy Medium

my thoughts on the current status of what is going on in the music industry!

there is so much stuff out on the p2p programs now to f up your computer and so many legalities involved. plus, it seems kinda shitty to steal music from people who are trying to make a living putting out cool new stuff--they are the ones that lose the money, not the big corporate labels--which seem to be falling apart at the seams everyday (which i don't necessarily think is a bad thing, but not fair to artists, whether you believe in their projects or not). there are all kinds of sites now, like www.betterpropaganda.com, where you can read reviews of (over)hyped bands and get a ton of music for free(what you read about)--like a taste test, if you will. you can put it on your ipod or whatever, it's totally legal and if you like the stuff and want to hear more, you can buy the disc--but you can decide for yourself. it's the happy medium--hopefully that helps the music business stay afloat!
