Mainstream Ambient Moozak

Right, two heavyweight... or should i say 'featherweight' musical groups, for us to debate!

I go for royksopp, even so air has a bigger track record. I like Royksopp's beats. but it's very close.... oh man... maybe i should've said air....

mainstream and ambient dont seem to mix together.

I heard several songs from royksopp but they are not really my cup of tea. I was told royksopp is trip hop...

air is not my cup of tea neither, I know, I am kinda weird like that.

I quite like Royksopp. Some decent loungey stuff in there. I like the fact that they've done really well in europe etc. Air, on the other hand, I don't like so much. The stuff they've done for soundtracks (Lost In Translation, The Virgin Suicides) Have been sweet, but I feel the albums are more fore pretentious twenty-somethings and their dinner parties...

Air was an influence on me. i have not listened to the new release, but i enjoyed the earlier stuff that they did. like floating through an acid trip. La Femme D'argent has always been a favorite of mine.

Röyksopp is in the lead!

I think I need some air.

Air and Royksopp aren't even mainstream over here...so I don't know whether to even call them close to ambient music or not...how about Brian Eno
