Post Top 10 Electronic Albums ((1990-2000))

I looked around and couldn't find a thread like this (( if there is, feel free to delete it, Josh )) In any case, what is your personal Top 10 of Electronic releases from the past decade?

As I'm nowhere near as obsessed w/ electronic music as most in this forum, my list is probably very mundane and expected (( I have less than 200 "True Electronic" albums, so give me a break )), but these are what I consider the best releases in my modest Electronic collection:

01. Aphex Twin - "Richard D. James Album"
02. Squarepusher - "Hard Normal Daddy"
03. Autechre - "LP5"
04. Boards of Canada - "Music Has The Right To Children"
05. Amon Tobin - "Supermodified"
06. Icarus - "Fijaka"
07. ยต-Ziq - "Lunatic Harness"
08. Plaid - "Not For Threes"
09. Black Dog - "Bytes"
10. Mouse on Mars - "Autoditacker"

Granted, most of those were IDM/Drill N' Bass/Experimental Techno, etc, etc, but feel free to post any Electronic styles; Ambient, Trance, Jungle, Acid Jazz...whatever...

I see yours is very warp-ish...of course, I don't blame you. I don't think I've ever posted mine in the past, although I made a list about 4 yrs ago. I'd like to see others thoughts on this.

I did say it was a very "expected" list...

...but that said, those are awesome records...

there's only one small problem with your list. "Go Plastic" came out in 2001. But indeed, a great recording that is underrated, and hardly spoken of.

1. Squarepusher- Hard Normal Daddy
2. Plug- Drum n Bass for Papa (2cd US edition)
3. Amon Tobin- Bricolage
4. Funkstorung- Appetite for Disctruction
5. Kenny Larkin- Azimuth
6. Aphex Twin- Richard D. James Album
7. Autechre- LP5
8. Boards of Canada- Music has the Rights to Children
9. Fennesz- Hotel Paral.lel
10. Cylob- Cylobian Sunset

guess I can't get away from the Warp reference myself. in those 10 yrs, they were the prime electronic label, and you can't deny that. (Note: mine aren't really in sequential order, just listings of my top 10 favorites and/or experimental electronic albums that I thought were very influential)

Wow, you really like that Plug release that much? I had it about 4 years ago and wasn't very impressed, maybe my listening has matured since then...I'll give it another shot.

And you prefer Amon Tobin's Jazzier stuff? I always thought that his last two records were more "unique" and better overall, but I guess that's just me..
