Oasis Top Album Poll

http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0...109138,00.html

Oasis have beaten their heroes the Beatles to the title of Best British Album Ever.

Their 10-year-old debut, Definitely Maybe, has topped a Q magazine staff poll of 50 best albums.

Second on the list is the Fab Four's Revolver, released in 1966, almost 30 years before the Oasis debut.

The poll comes after the Mancunian band, who have always looked to the Beatles for inspiration, signed Zak Starkey, the son of former Beatle Mingo Starr as their latest drummer.

The Gallagher brothers experienced supersonic success after they were discovered, with Definitely Maybe becoming the fastest-selling album of all time.

The band also beat heavyweights such as the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and Pink Floyd in the survey of the music magazine's staff.

This is Q Magazine's list of the top 50 albums ever:

1. Oasis - Definitely Maybe

Like most lists i doubt this is gonna please everyone not too sure about oasis as number 1 although it's my favourite album, i dont think it's the "best ever". Also how The Coral and Coldplay have got so high is ridiculous and Knobbie Williams should not feature at all EVER!
