Jamie Cullum is not jazz at all.

He is more easy listening.

I don't like him at all.

It's like calling Randy Neuman jazz. Cullem is painfully mediocre, uninspired, money-driven, maudlin, phony, and soulless. It's pop music, not jazz, no matter what yuppies like to believe. (Not that pop music is inherently evil or anything...of course, I would dismiss Cullem as crap in that category as well!)

If you have a very superficial understanding of music and merely want to envelope yourself in cheap ephemera, then I understand how Cullem's music could offer something.

If you can't tell the difference between good music and Cullem...then you have the wrong hobby!

As I like to say, the carrot chunks in my vomit have more musical aptitude.

I do understand why he would not be jazz as Norah Jones is not jazz either... Though he uses elements of jazz as people said before and that's why I first decided to post this thread here... Though if one of the mods thinks it's necessary then he or she might as well move it to the pop section... Cullum's music is indeed rather easy to digest, but not everything you listen to must be terribly mindblowing or groundbreaking, right?
Albums that require an effort of the listener are often more rewarding, but "easier" albums like Cullum's or Jones' are good to chill out...

I saw him on TV playing a piano with his bum. He's taking all these jazz stereotypes, and he's laughing at you. Dont let pop into Jazz music.
