At the Drive In

Heard one album of theirs, El Gran Orgo, and at first I though, 'What is this shit?' But the more I listened to it, the more I became conviced that that was one holy album.

I think its unfortunate that they've split into Spart and the Mars Volta.

I haven't heard anything else by them but now I'm expecting great things.

Will my expectations be met?

^^ you must be kidding. As good as ATDI is, The Mars Volta is better. Relationship of Command is my fav. album by them.

agreed with all the above posts... i love ATDI, and i also love The Mars Volta... both re incredible, and its quite the progression to listen to In/Casino/Out to Relationship of Command to Deloused in the Comatorium... ATDI is #3 on my list of bands behind Tool and Mars Volta

I pick At the Drive-In over the Mars Volta, but yeah, Volta only has one album, not much to go buy so far.

And yeah I think your expectation will be met.

Mars Volta's debut is one of the finest achievements of music so far this decade.

At The Drive In released fairly cutting edge, yet still mainstream modern rock. ATDI were interesting, but never did it for me. The Mars Volta will continue to be special. I hope!
