~(only if you can judge talent)~

I am thinking of putting an artist in contract, but before I do I decided to get the publics opinion first. Basicaly, to see if I was making the right decision. So, here I am after google'n in "music forum" and radiomute.com was my first pick - so yes, this is my first post. If you consider yourself a good judge of talent please post your reply on wether or not you think this guy is ready. I suppose I should give you some brief backround on him first though.

Age: 18
Exp: 7 yrs
Recorded At: Home Studio
Stage Exp: moderate
Style: Unique

The link to play the demo is www.mechsmusic.com/demo.mp3 - i'm not sure about his style yet. I told him to give me something more clubbish that the ladies would like....and well the results were...well i'm not a good judge of talent and I dont know what these kids out here like now a days - so ladies...... www.mechsmusic.com/ratethis.mp3

would you dance to this? ( www.mechsmusic.com/ratethis.mp3 ) - that is a mp3 he was using to have people rate him I guess. Told me he got all 9's and 10's but we'll see what you guys think I guess. Thanks in advance,

Grant Miles

That's right, his style is unique. And I think that the songs are enough clubbish and even too much. I don't know what, but there is something missing so that it could make good songs.

The first thing that came to mind is how weak those beats are. His style is something new so I guess thats a good thing, but put him over some new beats. The club beat sounds a little too aggressive for a club beat though, it could work but I think it could be done better. Not bad and has an original voice but there are better out there. His rhymes aren't too bad though, but how is he at freestyling?
