Analogue Synth, Moog etc help needed!

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm looking to buy a great analogue synth. I have a good budget, around £1500 - £2500 (double that for $) and i'm currently thinking about buying the reissue of the Minimoog Voyager but i'm a bit put off by the fact that its monophonic. Is there something better thats polyphonic?

Basically i just want to buy the very best analogue synth i can, regardless of make or age or whatever. I'm not really that knowledgable at all on analogue synths so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

You`ve clearly got the money, and if you don`t need nostalgia, here`s some new analogue synths that are droolable.

Alesis Andromeda - http://www.alesis.com/products/a6/about.html
JoMox Sun Syn - http://www.jomox.com/sunsyn.html

Have you tried them, Josh? Andromeda seems to be a real gritty powerful beast from what I`ve seen and heard on the net.
I would go for the Sun Syn though, it looks so inspiring and funky to play with.

i've tried out the andromeda, and I just love it's sound. Me and my friend have been wanting to try the Waldorf for awhile now, but never had the chance to because it's hard to find in this area. I was always a Clavia Nord fan. Their G2X that's coming out soon is gonna be the bomb!
