J-5
Saw Jurassic 5 at the Kool Haus in Toronto last night, and was a greta show.. opened by a local act The Oddities (they were mediocre), and a 30 minute Dj Session from DJ Nu-Mark, promoting his new album... also, Cut Chemist was unable to attend...
All in all, they put on a wicked show, played great songs (Whats Golden, Freedom, The Thin Line, Jurass Finish First, Quality Control among them)... a couple things.. never seen J5 live before, and was truly impressed with the power in Chali 2na's voice... thats some bass... was impressied by Akil's small staure... but the thing that impressed em most was after the show, they didnt perform an encore (something that I think is pretty cliche actually), but instead came out into the crowd after words to sign autographs and talk.. got to talk to Chali and Akil for a few minutes after the show, and made me appreciate the group so much more.
Mentioned that Chali had a solo album comiin out, as does Nu-Mark, and Cut Chemist... Chali also mentioned that they are currently working on a new group album, so be on the look out for that... no time frame given however....

i wouldnt call their rhymes weak at all... personally i think theyre very strong lyricists, and their flow is incredible on most songs... I think the other thing i love about them is that they don't rap about the usual cars/money/chicks/bling that you usually hear about, listen to 'Remember his name' or 'The Thin Line' of their last album and you'll see what im talkin about..
