I really like Muse

How much do I like MUSE?

Well, after seeing them for $1.00 in St. Louis in April, My 2 roommates and I bought $40 tickets and drove 800 miles roundtrip to Chicago to see them. They were playing the Curiosa festival, headlined by some old guys called the Cure, whoever that is. Muse was playing the B stage, so we were front row, center. We stood there for a solid 4 hours in the 50 degree weather and the rain, through 2 opening bands (and listening to 2 other opening bands from the A stage) before they announced that their Bassist had broken his wrist the night before playing soccer and they wouldn't be playing! Hmm. Well, we were pretty disappointed. I'd do it agin, though, and plan to go to their closest venue during their October tour here in the states.

I got to see OK bands like Cooper Temple Clause and Head Automatica, and a great band (Auf Der Maur). We saw Interpol, who was good, and we sat through 2 Cure songs before we left. I don't know how long they played, and I don't really care. It was really cold and wet and we were disappointed and ready to go.

So how much do I like Muse? Well, the fact that I would go through all that crap to see them again should be an indication.
