Jimmy vs. Jimi

Ooooh, the big guitar God battle BEGINS NOW!

Who do you like better in general, you know, based on songs, style, sound, tone etc.

Me, I'm a Page man because Zeppelin rules. Enough said.

P.S. if this has been done somewhere, uh.... do something if you want

Just a strict comparison of the two, Hendrix. More creative, better chops, just mind blowing. Though I do give Page points for versatility.

Well, NDF, never let it be said that we always disagree...

I guess I won't be needing to 'shut up' just this once. Praise the Lord!

Aaaagh, I;ve been provoked to type more and give my full arguement.

Jimmy Page is a great guitarist IMO. He's greated some of the most famous and memorable guitar riffs and solos and as well his music I find can be listened to anywhere, I find Hendrix I have to be in a certain mood to hear. Page also just seemed more humble and comfotable with a guitar whenever I saw him play (videos of shows and such). I though Hendrix was just a tad too larger than life and Page was keepin' it real, with his guitar and otherwise.

The End of my arguement... well, sort of arguement

hendrix hands down

as good as page is... even after a 40+ year career as a professional he doesn't top what jimi pulled out in a MUCH shorter time frame... we can all hear what page has done since 1970... we can only imagine what hendrix had in store...

That's what I never understood about people wondering what musicians ODing could have done. Had they kicked their habit wouldn't they have been so incredibly messed up and shakey to create anything decent?

Exactly panbient. The funny thing is that Hendrix only needs what he put out in his few short years to be the superior guitarist.
