Well, we havent played together in 35 years. The songs would have to be recoreded properly. The recording that we have was done at home. It would be nice to get them done right. Anything is possible.

Hi Dennis glad to have you onboard, I didn't hear any song from Mushroom, although I heard about them, looking for your music right now. About recording @home; to me 60's are great because all those bands recorded music that was meant to sound unpure . You cannot find that these days, and today's music sounds too pure, without all those vynil crackling, and that old production that I like

Mr Skin
Here is a list that might help find our music. Some of us, until last year were unaware that our music was still out there.
Compilation appearances have so far included: You Can't Erase A Mirror on The Magic Cube (Flexi & CD); August Mademoiselle on Pebbles Vol. 9 (CD) and Filling The Gap (4-LP); You Can't Erase A Mirror and August Madmoiselle on Psychedelic Unknowns, Vol. 11 (LP), Slowly Growing Insane (CD) and The Human Expression And Other Psychedelic Groups - Your Mind Works In Reverse (CD).
You would get a kick at the current reel to reel that exists then. Im guessing it was done in 1968 or 1969

The Thousand Oaks Band Tree Reunion was a great success. Held, August 21 2005. Jim Rolf, Inspired by Jerry McMillan, Children of the Mushroom, along with many others, put together a fanstac day of Thousand Oaks, Ca. area bands from the 1960. It was great to be able to play drums with The Children of The Mushroom one more day. Here is a link to a site I put tohether about those past days with some of the bands....

Just added a photo of Children of the Mushroom after we changed our name to just The Mushroom
Thanks Miles again for inviting us to post here, as well as all the others!
I have a link up to listen to an obscure garage recording of The Mushroom Theme recorded by guitarist Jim Rolfe at a pratice in 1968. It's hard to believe the recording survived. Hope you enjoy.

Good Idea Syd.... maybe one day it will happen. Everything that day seem to click right. I remember we had a good balance in strong equipment(Big Amps)and talent, of coarse the drums were not amplified. I just whacked away. Hope you listened to the old practice recording.
Thanks Syd.....
