Tempe, AZ its where The Refreshments came from (they're 1 of my favorite)... they broke up in '97 or '98.... and the 2 remaining members formed Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers... Gin Blossoms and Meat Puppets are both from that area too...

True... it's my belief that Downsyde are the best Aussie hip-hop out there, but hey, each to his own.

I totally agree with you on the Aussie thing. For our population our music scene really kicks arse. Although alot of JJJ bands shit me they do amazing things for music in this country. JJJ are a truely unique. I doubt there is anything like it anywhere in the world. I would say Melbourne has the healthiest music scene in Australia. I do hear some good things from Perth though.

Definately man. There's heaps of support from non-JJJ ventures as well- just look at programs like National Youth Week, Noise, AMI projects etc.
