Don't think they're anything special, catchy tune here and there but definetly nothing special....Sad state of affairs for your countries music when The Darkness is the best import to America happening at the moment...Maybe apart from Coldplay.

i'd say it was more a sad state of affairs for america if the darkness and coldplay are the only "talent" you can appreciate from our country, the complete lack of interest in british music over there is disgusting imo.

this is true, it is sad, but The Darkness and Coldplay are both solid outfits worthy of recognition and praise. not the best the UK has to offer at the moment, but the States are never gonna take in The Libertines and the like. we're talkin about a country that has prettywell completely overlooked Manic Street Preachers [Wales, iknow], Suede, Placebo, Blur and on and on.

No offence meant to any americans but I dont really respect the music scene very much over there. like here in ireland we have hundreds of great new acts(damien rice, the frames(i know they arent new)) but they are all either scared to go ove there because they will be hated or else they go over there and are ignored. so maybe the problem lies in the music listening population of america.....

The Darkness is good, but I don't really find it as a "new" revolution or music type, it just seems to fall under Alternative for me.

eh..
I don't really like the darkness that much.
I liked them better when nobody else really liked them lol..
I like most of their songs when they first come out bu then they get quite broing very quickly. I'm not sure whether that's because of them or because of radio and tv..

^ ^ ^ The same thing happened to me with the Muse, they were my favorite band, untill stuff got sent to america, i would import everything they did, i still like them a lot, but nearly as much as i used to.
