Alright, I know the world is not all this way and that rap and hip hop are becoming a part of a lot of people's music preference, but every time I mention I like hip hop, people always have something to say.

I think I’m feeling pretty annoyed about the beef I get for liking hip hop. Are people trying to tell me I have to be black or Indian or live in a run down area to like the music?

I'm almost positive noone will agree with the 'Gotta be black to listen to rap' statement.

Personally I don't feel that you have to be a certain color to listen to any type of music, rap included.

im white. i listen to rap. just tell them to go fck themselves and listen to whatever you want. black music reaching black masses, its not like that anymore. 50 cent, outkast, all of them have a big white fan base. its spreadin down to the underground rappers as well, i dont think there is a specific target audience anymore.

Maybe people look funny at you because you say things like 'lates' ... or 'sjust interesting to me on how its portrayed'... or 'Frontin and posin is a big deal today'.
