Seriously, I just moved from the East Coast,
VA, MD & DC, and the South, rap, r&b and Dave are more cultural then racial.
No, I don't listen to it 24/7, prob a 1/3rd of my music listening time,
besides Lars and the like just wouldn't sound as sexy singing about wanting to take a shower w/ you
as some of the rappers and r&bers.

Come to Australia and there are plenty of white people who like hip-hop and rap. To say you have to be black to like rap is a joke. A large pecentage of the hip-hop/rap artists here are white too just like many from overseas.

I think hip-hop is fairly different though compared to rap. A lot of people who like hip-hop don't talk street slang and wear everyday clothes where as hardcore rap fans will be the ones more likey to be wearing the baggy pants and jackets while talking differently. That doesn't have anything to do with being black or white though, it's just that it seems like black people like rap, hip-hop and r'n'b and not rock as opposed to white people. I guess it's all to do with influences and the way people are brought up. Now days rap etc is on the radio so much that all kids are going to be brought up liking the stuff.

hmm.....considering you dont have to black to create rap music, i am going to have to say no. Look at eminem, he is, in many peoples opinion, the best rapper out there.
