You don't have to be black to listen to rap...you just have to be very tolerant of noise, pornography, and pointless expletives...

Well, no, you don't have to be black to listen to rap. My ex is white and he thinks he is black...
rather tragic if I don't say so myself.
Rap is all he listens to, he even dresses in baggy jeans and in clothing with the "D12" and "EMINEM" stuff sewn onto it... and he swears he doesn't even like Eminem.

Well, make of the whole rap/white/black/'wigga' situation as you will. I personally don't like it in large doses and I can't say I like my ex either!! lol

I'm riaacchhh biiaattcchh!

LoL...Chappelle cracks me up..

Ok...sorry for the lack of seriousness. But uhhmm, I honestly dont like people who act what they're not. To understand what i mean, you have to understand what 'acting black' is. I consider acting black something white people have came up with and ignorant N.iggas use to describe acting like them. Being black is not about sagging your pants, or flipping your cap to one side or speaking like you have no type of educational background. Thats acting stupid, like most N.iggas act in the ghetto. If you ask most Black people, they will tell you there is a difference between blacks and N.iggas, its to bad white people dont always see things like that until they get to know a Black person.

Music shouldn't have anything to do with it, the problem comes when other people try to emulate what they hear in those songs and see in videos. If your from the outback or some place like Beverly Hills, or anywhere thats not even close to a ghetto, and you do crap like talk with a slang or act hard or put up a front, then hell yes I will call you a wigga. Because its stupid for someone to talk and act like that when there enviroment is as soft as drug store cotton. N.iggas act like that because they know no better, its life, its whats around them...they dont have good education or just didn't want it, they're means of income is hustling and slanging and pimpin and jacking(stealing). They deal with hoodrats and gold diggers and all type of other crap associated with the ghetto. And there is a big majority of black people who grew up in and around that stuff, but they chose to do something better with there lives and absolutely HATE it when white people try to act like that. Its an insult to our race and its just flat out ignorant.

And again if you have white friends who are calling you a wigga just for listening to hip hop is stupid, unless its changing the way you act or portray yourself. I listen to Metallica from time to time, the Eagles, Santanna, Kansas, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Beethoven...and i'm a hip hop/reggae DJ. So what does that make me, music is music. If it sounds good, i'm listening to it. Music is a beautiful thing no matter what genre you listen to. I will continue to be who I am, no matter what i listen too.

you people should watch John Waters' Hairspray, a great movie about racism and Hair Hoppers.

rev, there is a sub genre called instrumental hip hop, there is no f-bomb and n-bomb.

You know, I'm white and I don't really listen to rap, though there are some things that I think are quite good, but hiphop and r'n'b being original black music are popular all over the world... Too bad it's predominantly the annoying hiphop that's popular...
And anyway most white music was originally black music: rock, blues,...
Kraftwerk was the only white band who started "a new genre" as I've read somewhere recently

Listen it only gets to me when I see white silver spoon kid trying to incorporate black steriotypes into their everyday life. A lot of these white kids who wear their pant line at their knees and have powder blue jerseys on that are 2x too big for them, do it because it's a fad right now. I don't care if you like rap, just when you try to be a black person by acting out steriotypes, that when i get hysterical and can't stop laughing.
