i like what ive heard from clinic, their album 'walking with thee' has some good tunes. another band you dont have up there but i dig is longwave. they opened for the strokes, put out a cool album 'the strangest things' last year i believe.

The Thrills are a beuatiful pop band, however they've been around for a fair bit now. Franz Ferdinand should still count as a new band, they are great.

I like Preston School of Industry best of the ones posted here. Furnace Sun is a great song.
I agree that Franz Ferdinand should be added. Just got their cd and they're great!

The Thrills are so hot. I'm going to see them live in Cali like around May with my friend Bella, should be fun! I've heard of The Secret Machines too, they have a big buzz in the NY/ Strokes scene right?
