In the end, what we have are these little, great moments. They come and they go. That's as good as it gets. But, still, isn't that great?

who heard 'Medúlla'? what do you think?

ilistened to it once through the other day and iwas stunned. some of it is amazing and im in love with right away, some of it seems down right unlistenable though. given only one listen its a record ihav to respect but ialso hav to criticize for simply being too far gone for any wide appeal- this one is purely for herself. its a must own for fans but it will likely be the least listened to- "a challenging listen" is an enormous understatement.

and then some. on a single listen straight thru I was utterly shocked. I totally didn't expect her to make a record like that. To me it seems like there's so little emphasis on her voice, or at least the experimental music is too distracting. There are a few good gems on this album but mostly it makes me long for the days of Homogenic. I still love her though. I didn't dump all over Radiohead because they decided to take a different approach to making records. A worthy addition to the Björk collection, but without a doubt the least accessible of all of her past efforts.

the entire emphasis is on her voice, actually- or at least on her's and the other voices that appear on the album. its nearly all voices.

i realize that but it's so many vocal tracks layered that it's hard to tell which one to be paying attention too. in any case i think whatever the actual lyrics are get blurred by the use of so many voices. its almost as if this was an instrumental album where all of the instruments are voices.

Acutally, I am still digesting Medulla, but it is a lot easier to listen to than I originally anticipated, after hearing that she was putting an album together of all voices. I probably like it better than Vespertine, which was me least favorite.

I'll continue to follow up on what Bjork's doing for all eternity. The first 3 albums are awesome, and Homogenic is easily one of my favorite albums of all time. Desert island material, for sure.

I just can´t get into Medúlla. ''Where is the line'' is the only track I actually like.

I love Medulla.

I bought it today and I'm fucking smitten with it. I've been listening to alot of wierd stuff though like the ambient music from the game Painkiller put onto a cd, Fantomas - Delerium Cordia, and other Bjork albums, so this albums fits right in.

The only advice I can give for checking this album out is dont approach it with any expectations, and keep your mind open to the point of it being at an obtuse angle.
