Not only have the words 'crazy' and 'love' been matched a myriad of times previously - and better, I might add - spelling 'crazy' with a 'k' automatically diminishes points. Also, I don't think I've heard such a boring excuse for jazz, with 'latin infused grooooooves!' in quite a while.
The first three may vary from time to time. I will put Billie Holliday on first spot for now because of Summertime, which is one of my all-time favorites.
Billie Holliday
Sarah Vaughan
Ella Fitzgerald
Carmen McRae
Anita O'Day
Betty Carter

Haven't heard much of Sheila Jordan and Shirley Horn. Anything you can recommend me start with?
