Back in highschool I used to love antiflag... then I saw them live.

They are punk in the sense that they feel they just need to be against authority, its childish in my eyes. So no I would not consider them punk since they have no knowledge and are really just 'posers'

But I do think they are a better bridge group to get people into punk music then pop-punk on the radio, its a little bit more raw and I have to hand it to justin sane and his gang that they do get some catchy songs going on.

What do you mean by this? What knowledge don't they have and why does this effect their punk cred?

I would say they are political punk! But they are punk, for sure! ...true rebellers...fame brought some negative things, but in general they still criticize urgent problems!

I feel as if their outfit is there to bash the mainstream no matter what, even if it were to there liking. Its almost as if they were rejected and decided to start a band to make fun of things.

Mostly they discuss the government, and nowadays I've been to plenty of concerts where bush is a topic even for a little, and they do it in a way that is almost like fuck the government just because! Never providing anymore insight then that. Now that could be a fine standpoint but to me it just comes off as whiny children starving for an identity.

If you like them it doesn't matter if they're punk or not.
