yeah, you obviously dont know shit if you honestly believe that. no debut has had a bigger impact in the UK- including The Beatles.

What a load of crap...you weren't even alive at the time of the Beatles' debut...for that matter, you don't even live in the UK!

You make some great jokes, chris, really...I can't stop laughing!

Definitely Maybe is the fastest selling debut album in UK history.

To say something is a hot seller is a bit different from saying something has had a large impact culturally/musically...Oasis wouldn't even exist at all without the Beatles, so your comment was pretty absurd...

iwasnt alive in the 40's either, and idont live in Germany, but ican be pretty sure in sayin that The Holocaust was easily the greatest act of evil the world's ever known.

so tell me again how you think my opinion can bare no validity?

you dont think Oasis had an enormous effect culturally and musically? well, im sorry to tell you- but yure wrong. Oasis inspired a generation of kids in the UK in the way they spoke, dressed, cut their hair- everything. Britrock/pop was the dominant force in rock in the post-grunge era [save perhaps that ill-advised rap/metal bullshite in the States], and Oasis were the leaders of it.

and don't give me the "they wouldnt exist if it werent for The Beatles" bullshite. a lota musicians wouldnt exist [or be the same] without The Beatles and The Beatles wouldntve existed if it werent for a lot of earlier musicians- so fuck that.

Sure, but that's historically verifiable...for you to say that Oasis had more of an impact on UK culture than the Beatles is just your opinion...it's just something that’s a bit more subjective than the physical effects of the Holocaust, wouldn't you say? Besides which, as far as the actual music is concerned, I wouldn’t be able to tell a band influenced by Oasis from a band influenced by the Beatles…mostly because Oasis is little more than a Beatles rip-off.

All right, so did the Beatles, spanning continents and decades...and did so first; and I would imagine w/ quite a bit of confidence that they inspired a bit more people than Oasis ever did, or could.

True, but "a lota musicians" also don't sound like a Beatles tribute band...
