yeah o.k i'm not going to put them down to much my main objection is that he's not hip hop (i don't think he would even claim to be .)you might as well call Big Brotherz hip hop . If you want to listen to british hip hop try Fleapit ,Aspects,Karl Hinds,57th dynasty,Taskforce,Skinny Man or any one of loads of Actual u.k hip hop. but I will say as garrage go's it's not so bad(better then so solid anyway.

The Streets... maybe not rap, but a lot of fun. Very clever. I need to check out his new album.

Fair enough disrespect the streets if you want, but please don't compare them to big "we make bubblegum pop but because we're black we call it urban" brovaz

The Streets are, I believe, "Urban Beat Poetry".

As long as we're classifying it...its either garage or 2 step. I think he's great. I really like the lyrics to 'Stay Positive' I think its called, the last song on the album. Most of Original Pirate Material is fairly good i think, he 'rhymes' about some good issues. I cant wait for the new album to come out.
and going back to what pucci said about the ones who come from the hood are considered the legit (rappers)....maybe they are considered legit gangsta rappers, but The Streets doesnt claim to be gangsta rap.

I know sugacakes, I was answerin Orpheus's question about being hopelessly poor to be a rapper. The Streets are upper middle class, totally not from the streets. But that really doesn't need to matter yall, unless its some super loser like the Ice trying to come off as a dude from the hood. I mean, I haven't heard all their songs, but the ones I have heard are about fun, random subjects like getting drunk, girls, blah blah. They're not being posers so just enjoy the music for what it is.
