Did he ever do Pluto? I have an mp3 that claims to be PLuto, but I heard it wasn't even discovered yet

There was some other composer who did a sequal after some other planets were discovered. Now that a couple of other planets have been discovered beyond Pluto, I guess someone should do another sequal...

Rev, no other Planets have been discovered since Pluto. At most, this latest discovery is a Planetoid. In fact, most astronomers really don't even consider Pluto to be a planet anymore.

It was Colin Matthews who wrote Pluto - The Renewer.

Once upon a time ... The Planets

Here's a little story from my album The Planets of G. Holst

Quote:
Holst had just finished the first sketch of "Mars, the Bringer of War" when the first World
War broke out in 1914. He attempted to join up but was rejected because of poor
physique and weak eyesight and this, of course, left him free to continue
composition. "Venus" and "Jupiter" were completed in the autumn of 1914 and he
continued work of "Saturn", "Uranus" and "Neptune" during the following
year. ... "Mercury" was the last movement of "The Planets" to be completed and the
orchestration was finished in 1917.

Did he forgot Pluto ?

So, once upon a time ... Pluto :
Quote:
By 1905, of course, astronomical observations had greatly improved due to photography.
A search was begun at the Flagstaff Observatory in 1915 and for two years they
photographed the area of the sky in which "Planet X", as Lowell called it, was predicted.
Nothing was found. Lowell redid his mathematical analysis and, between 1914 and 1916,
he again photographed the area of the sky where his predictions showed that Planet X
would lie. In fact there are images of Pluto (Lowell's Planet X) on these plates but they
are faint and were not recognised.
...
The planet was photographed every night from then on to confirm the observation and on
13 March 1930, the 75th anniversary of Lowell's birth and the 149th anniversary of
Uranus's discovery (it is a remarkable coincidence that these should be the same day), an
announcement was made from Flagstaff. In May 1930 the Flagstaff Observatory proposed
the name Pluto for Planet X.

Since G. Holst died in 1934, he just forgot to complete The Planets suite with Pluto.
Gustav Holst

But, I can argue that he forgot one planet ... The one where I live

PS Please don't tell me I'm living on the moon, take a look to the location mentioned in my profile
