The Best solo, Which you cannot disagree with, is The Rhythm Method, Done by Neil Peart of RUSH< in Different Stages. This Solo Is Eight Minutes Long, and is amazing

Most definitely the solo in the middle of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. If you haven't heard it, shame on you.

Terry Bozzio is a man who ritualistically asks his bandmates to leave the room while he becomes one with his drums. He plays as if he is falling down the stairs. He plays he as if he is being sucked into a wormhole. He plays ridiculously... well. Not just fast. He plays the best drum solo in the world, my friends, every time he practises. In Rock 'n Roll, at least, he is the King.

Ooo.. I don't know.. it's a tough choice for me. I'm stuck between the bands Dream Theatre, Symphony X, and Blind Guardian. All of those have great Drummers.
