I know, but man, I've already got 25 Coltrane albums, how much can one person listen to? Every time I've bothered tuning in I hear a song I have, so it's kind of pointless to listen to it at low quality when I can just put in the actual album.

Frank Zappa - G-Spot Tornado ( from Yellow Shark)
A bit of a difference from the rest of the stuff on this thread, but it's an amazing piece. Maybe not for classical purists, but I suggest trying it out.

I understand what you’re saying. But I have a good 85% of Coltrane recordings and I am still hearing a lot of stuff that I have never heard before. I would suggest you check out when the play the later day Coltrane period. That’s when a lot more of the rare live stuff that their are no recordings are being played.
They are also having specials during the day that interrupts the chronological progression.
They are playing live material from 1965 currently.

rediscovering Olivier Messian Wow, and it is weird how long it takes for some pieces to finally fit the ear...

Mozart - 40th Symphony - The Academy of Ancient Music - Jaap Schroder & Christopher Hogwood.
This is from an excellent box set of the full Symphonies and the musicians use authentic instruments from the time period.
