This piece ALWAYS blows me away. Like a violent storm out in the ocean. No cynicism in his music, but always cathartic. Holmboe's been one of my favorite composers since the beginning.

The conductor, Owain Arwel Hughes, knows what he's doing...

and rarely do fully digital recordings sound so powerful.

Yeah, I wanted to get some sort of collection of the original "comics." No luck so far!

I think the Vixen is my favorite opera. The Charles Mackerras recording with Lucia Popp is amazing.
