not really post rock in the strictest sense. its more like classical with some rock instrumentation, but its good and "mournful" as you say. actually i dont even remember if theres a piano on it, but theres definitely a harpsichord. oops

album leaf - in a safe place.
not exactly post rock (u.g.h.), but most of the tracks are instrumental, occasionally guitar-driven and there's helluva lot of rhodes presence. i guess.

well, here's another. some kids doing odd-sounding postrock thing.
the name is mountain men anonymous.
first track has a lot of piano. and weird sounding drums. it's either a poor set of drums or they've gated them HARD.

or both.
