cos people are tits [no offence]. they do the same picking and choosin all the time with other bands. people always give/gave artists like Oasis, Sinead O'Connor, The Darkness, Ryan Adams, Guns N Roses, The Sex Pistols, The Stone Roses etc. a hard time for being assholes or whatever, but then others like The Beatles, The Police, and a hundred fookin rap, hiphop and r&b artists get/got away with it everytime. for some artisits people can seperate the music from the person and for others they cant- ihav no fookin clue why.

imean, for some artists ican see how it might be harder to make the seperation [Marilyn Manson for one], or in some cases you might wish to question the genuineness of the art [like if The Strokes started singing about being black and living in the ghetto] but even in those cases you still should be able to judge the music for itself and not juste dismiss it because you dont like the artist as a person.

in defence that i dont like her purely because of her persona, i think she has possibly the most undesirable voice... some people like that style, but i just think 'shut up luv, and stay off the fags, then maybe think about tryin to sing...'

You know, Courtney really is a skank but if you didn't know her and just listened to her music she's really pretty good. It's a shame she gets in the way of herself all the time cause I do like her music. Her first solo effort wasn't as good as her albums with Hole, but it's not horrid or anything.

i have to say i find it hard to seperate courtney from her music, but thats only because shes such an enigmatic character. there aren't many who does it like she does, for me she is the only true rock star of our time. but then again i love her music so maybe thats coloured my opinion of her as a person, anyone who can write violet, celebrity skin and mono is pretty amazing in my opinion.

also i dont think she ever set out to be kurt mk 2, its the public who find it hard to seperate the two, and still give her shit for apparently murdering her husband. if she'd really killed him, you think she'd still be walking innocent right now? actually, considering her recent court appearances, maybe she would lol

personally, i dont mind courtney...and i like her older music. live through this was good and a couple tracks of celebrity skin (northern star) i really like. i didnt really like her latest album too much though. damn.

ppl should feck off. why would she try and kill her husband? and whats so bad about her really? shes just human. she has her own talent.

i used to like her . i dont bother with the older stuff i listened to so much and as for her new stuff .. eh , i dont care . kind of moved onto different things..
