Has anyone ever checked out Embrace? They were a top band back in the day, fuck knows what they're upto now??

If you're into the charlatans, or the verve you should check them out. 'Come Back To What You Know' and 'All You Good Good People' in particular, are great songs.

Embrace were alright. 'Wonder' is another good track.

Embrace were (are?) at best, an average band. Danny's voice was the flattest, most toneless warble you could ever imagine. Add to that the fact he thought he was a Gallagher...

Saw them live at the Academy in Manchester...Most boring gig of my life. I believe after the 'success' of The Good Will Out, they released two more albums and sank without trace. I could be wrong.

Sorry to be so blunt and all... strongly dislike Embrace...

they were kinda tedious...a band that i would maybe put in a list of mediocre bands. their songs sounded far too alike to each other that they got boring. just compare any charlatans song to embrace, and you can hear that embrace just has little life in the sound.

you manc folk not too keen on embrace then lol
I must say actually since i posted i have been listening to their album a lot and it's started to grate on me although i maintain that 'come back to what you know' is a great song!

yeah, rousing chorus and all...

It's not really a manc thing, they just really aren't that good
