the only people i see calling crap like avril lavinge pop punk are the supposed 'real' punks who want something to complain about so that they can build up some structure within their chosen label... for a genre supposedly built on freedom and anarchy it sure seems to have devolved into a very strict and rigid subculture... have fun inside your box you fucking square
